Scott grew up in Birmingham, AL working in the back of an Iron Works shop that his grandfather started in 1957. This blue collar, manual labor, put in a good day’s work mentality has stayed with him throughout the years and provides the foundation of core principles that We’ve Got Your Customers was built on.
Scott has founded and run successful entrepreneurial start-ups since 2003, including a Medical Sales Distributorship that sold in excess of $10 Million and an online travel company with over 60 employees.
He set several records for a Major retail company soon after graduating from Auburn in 1999 with his Marketing degree. Building on this success, Scott transitioned to the financial industry as an Outside Sales Manager for a Nationally Recognized Bank. It is here that he was first introduced to the challenges and frustrations that privately held business owners experience on a daily basis.
In 2009, Scott began studying how local businesses were being affected by the lightning fast shift from traditional advertising methods to Online Marketing. Through countless conversations with overwhelmed local business owners, he decided to do something to help them. We’ve Got Your Customers was founded shortly afterwards to give these business owners an ethical and effective way to compete in and dominate their local markets. It is Scott’s mission to educate and inform WGYC’s Clients, so that they know what to expect and can see Proven Results. No more “blue-sky promises”, long-term contracts and hoping for the best. Scott believes in hard work, trackable results and delivering what is most important to all local businesses – Verifiable Increases in Sales!

James has been in computer technologies for over 15 years. He was in the USAF and worked on the B-1B bomber aircraft for 4 years in South Dakota. After, he had worked for companies such as Mercedes, Infiniti, BMW, and MINI Cooper as a Web Developer and I.T. Manager. His fascination for computers and coding started when he received a broken computer back in 1991 and has grown ever since. James is the co-owner of We’ve Got Your Customers with his business partner Scott Smith and oversees the companies web development team and graphics production staff. He has attended St. Petersburg College where he studied web design and project managment.
James believes in having a closer business relationship with each customer by conducting initial development consultations himself and stays involved with the project from its infancy to the released, mature product.
